I know the same is true for most all of you. The key to overcoming the shared challenges we’re experiencing now, and those still to come, will be our continued close collaboration. Two priorities are guiding us. First, the health and wellbeing of our employees, our customers, and our business partners is paramount. Second, we are working around the clock to provide you the best possible service during this unprecedented time. The Tracy Family and the entire extended Dot Family are dedicated to these aims. Senior leaders in our business are spearheading this work, meeting frequently to plan and to adjust those plans in this rapidly evolving environment.
What can you expect from Dot as we jointly navigate COVID-19? Flexibility will be key. We will continue to deliver on our brand promise, those words you see on the side of all our trucks. The trusted values that serve as the foundation for our partnership will be critical as we work together to find the innovative solutions we need right now. Dot believes in putting our people first. As a result, we made the decision to temporarily restrict access to our facilities and only permit essential travel; your deliveries are the most essential travel in our business and are ongoing. We also put enhanced sanitation practices in place at all Dot facilities, and for our drivers.
We are starting to see significant demand changes, both up and down, and anticipate these will continue. We are doing our best to service these where possible and working with suppliers to react. Our team is also working to develop innovative approaches to identify these demand changes quickly. Please share any information that will help us serve your changing needs more effectively. We will do our best to fill all orders but regular business from all of you will receive our highest priority.
These are challenging times. There’s no blueprint for this situation, and the one thing that is clear is that change is the only certainty right now. But when we work together, these are also the times that often spark the best, most creative solutions.
